About Ken
Ken grew up on a farm in Iowa and learned early on how to work with his hands. After serving in the US Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969, he graduated from college with a degree in Industrial Arts, specializing in Graphic Arts. Over the next 30 years he worked as a cameraman in the printing industry, and also taught graphic arts, printing, photography and wood working. He has been doing stained glass and wood carving since the 1970s, and for several years in the 1980’s he created custom pieces for high-end housing developers in Long Beach, California. He moved to Greenville, SC in 2016.
He has recently started combining stained glass and intarsia (wood art) into unique pieces that portray nature and people. He enjoys working with interior designers, art studios, and art promoters, as well as anyone who shares his love and passion for unique pieces of art.
